Open Educational Resources
Open Educational Resources (OER) are learning, teaching and research materials in any format and medium that reside in the public domain or are under an open license, that permit the public the rights to access, re-use, re-purpose, adapt and redistribute educational materials.
Textbooks in the Open Textbook Library are considered open because they are free to use and distribute, and are licensed to be freely adapted or changed with proper attribution. Textbooks included in this collection are licensed with the General Public License (GNU) and Creative Commons (CC) licenses, with the exception of the CC ND (No Derivatives) component. The textbooks are available in a complete portable file (e.g. PDF, EPUB).
Also, the textbooks are used at multiple higher education institutions, or affiliated with a higher education institution, scholarly society, or professional organization.
